“7TH SECRET” – WRITER/PRODUCER BIOS
Bridget Smith — Writer, Director
Bridget is a writer/actress/director/ and stand-up comic. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bridget graduated from Temple University where she studied Communications and Theater. She continued her pursuit in acting and starred in plays and Independent Films in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City. Bridget got her start as a stand-up comic while living in Chicago. She did the comedy circuit for years before landing a featured spot in Comedy Central’s long running series Premium Blend. While living in NYC Bridget starred in and directed several One Act Festivals where she showcased her own original work, as well as other up and coming playwrights. She went on to direct several theater productions such as “The Hand That Feeds You” which was showcased in the Kallisti One Act Festival in NYC.
Bridget and Mike met in 2007 and decided to collaborate on “7th Secret”, a project that had been Bridget’s brainchild for quite some time. After extensive research and hearing countless stories from people all over the world, Bridget and Mike decided to tell the story of Marissa Lombardi, a young wife with a secret life, as an independent feature film. They feel that this story will resonate with millions of people as it shows the deviant inside us all, and demonstrates the lengths people will go to explore their secret pleasures. 7th SECRET is currently in pre-production.
Mike Walsh — Writer, Producer
Mike was one of the first winners of Fade In magazine’s prestigious national screenplay competition for his original feature length thriller, Driven. Also born and raised in Philadelphia, Mike has optioned several writing projects to various production companies in Los Angeles including:
- Shattered Dove: The Shelly Brimberry Story: A true life story of a pregnant young woman wrongly imprisoned for killing her abusive boyfriend.
- The Reading Game: A drama about Philadelphia Mob Boss Angelo Bruno and the largest illegal no limit crap game that he ran in Reading, PA from 1957 until 1962.
- Summer’s End: the true life story of Summer, the gorgeous Philadelphia exotic dancer who became the obsession of Craig Rabinowitz, the businessman who murdered his wife for insurance money so he could be with Summer.
Mike wrote, directed and produced an independent feature film Trust Dance. It was based on a true story of a single mother who infiltrates a pedophile ring to bring her daughter’s abuser to justice.
